O garçom do bar traz a cerveja e entrega a Orlando.

Chapter II – Part 3

His eyes were eager for a victim, but it was not easy to find. Many people’s are already with company and it makes much more difficult the “job”. Orlando seeks for a target that he can, somehow, manipulate. To take to a calm place where he could do what he wanted without interruptions. He watches attentively every place. Enters in various bars seeking for someone that fits in the profile he is looking for. He takes some drinks, trying to talk with one or another, but without any success. The time passes and Orlando begins to get every time more anxious.
He begins to realize that must stay calm, because he knows that anyway he will have what he want: money! And this last thought is confirmed in the moment that he enters in a bar, already passed o two in the morning, and he find a woman. She seems to have around 45 years old and she is clearly looking for a boy that could make her some “company” during the rest of the night. Orlando lives in the nights there are years and have a “clinical eye” to identify a potential victim. And that woman was one of them. He don’t lose time and goes to a table closer of the woman. He asks for a beer and looks discreetly for her. She was already looking for him at that time. She was not a beauty woman, of course, but the jewels she was exhibiting showed him that she had much money. Orlando knew about true jewels from miles away. And those were much valuable jewels.
The waiter brings a beer and gives it to Orlando. He gets the wallet to pay it but is interrupted when the woman says:

- You don’t need to pay for that, honey…

He looks for her and she makes a sign for him to go to the table where she is sitting. He walks until there with a cordial smile upon his face. They talk a little during the last 30 minutes and then they go away… holding the hands.

Este é o local onde acontecem muitos shows e eventos no Recife.

Chapter II – Part 1

The center of the city named Recife is beautiful during the night. Under the sun light the madness of our day by day hides its beauty. Is during the night that what is most beautiful and terrible of the city is shown. The colors, the illumination and the colonial remembrance gives to Recife a nostalgic and magic feeling. The streets of the district named Recife Antigo (Old Recife) are a conserved replica of the city of some centuries ago. The river that cross the city and its bridges, created to be, over and above a tool for locomotion, a work of art that gives the town an European aspect. The byname “Brazilian Venice” comes, above all, from its bridges over the river.
Is during the night of the Recife that Orlando tries to get some advantage, over those who trust him. His friendly eyes and his false disposition to help gives him the looking of a good person. There lies the mistake that many innocent have committed before, and usually lost their lives. Orlando is a follower.

NOTA - SEGUIDORES ***NOTE ABOUT FOLLOWERS***

The first chapter of the series "Followers" was already posted here in the blog. The continuation of the series (until it's ending) will be entirely posted here in the blog during some months (I believe). This way, for those who read and follow the series, the texts are not ended yet. This is just the beggining! It seems, when we finish reading this firs chapter that the story has ended. So I decide to post this note to make some points looks clearer. This series is based on a tale that leads the same name, wrote by myself. So, we will have narrations of various happenings like the one described on Chapter I, that will be conected soon. Then the conection between the happenings will be explained. Knowing that after some time it begins to get harder to follow the series, if the reader stay some time without to read or if he is a newcomer and find the series in the middle, I decided to find a way to resolve the problem. Soon I will put info about how to get, directly from me, the entire text, only until the last part posted here on the blog.
I hope that all those who follow the series be enjoying the content. Good reading to everybody and we meet on Chapter II!
Sorry if the english is not perfect, but I can't count with the help of no one to translate the texts. I got to do it all by myself.

Capítulo I - Parte 4

Ninguém ouviu nada naquela noite. Nem mesmo os familiares da Sra. S..

Chapter I – Part 4

Nobody heard anything about that in that night. Not even the parents of Mrs. S. When she realized she was blind and that nobody heard anything she never told anyone about what happened in that night. She was found unconscious by her parents. Her eyes had a white color that only a blind eye can have.
After losing her vision, Mrs. S. was not anymore a follower. Now she only used to make her prayers and only cared about her own life. Because only who sees the truth can look only to inside.

Capítulo I - Parte 3

Lá dentro a Sra.

- Meus Deus... me ajuda...

Chapter I – Part 3

The figure continues to walk in the street without to care about the rain. His hair moves with the wind. And even with the rain falling strongly, his hair seems to be dry. The figure walks slowly until the number 436 in the 13th street. When he reaches the number he stops and turns in the direction of that house. Inside there, Mrs. S. laugh and shout, but more silently, because is too quiet to shout so loud as she like. Then the figure walks now directly to the house. He stands right in front of the gate and makes a move with his hand. The gate opens immediately. He enters the house and goes to the door, making it opens with the same hand move. The gate and the door close behind him. Now he follows to the back of the house where he meets Mrs. S.
A very strong lightning, followed by a great thunder scares Mrs. S. and she turns, facing that figure. She moves slowly to the back and tries to scream, but the figure leads his finger to the mouth, showing her that she must stay on silence. Her eyes are wide open of so scared she is. She can’t see the face of that figure, and this is what scares her the most. The she begins to cry of fear, and takes the hands to the mouth, as if to hide the sound.

- My God… help me…

Now she hears a sound coming from that figure. The only sound he left to be heard. A so grave voice that made the legs of Mrs. S. to shake of so many fear.

- That’s why I’m here… to help…

Then the figure raises his head and shows his face for her, going in her direction, which screams in despair. She can see the enormous black wings opening rapidly. But a lightning very strong, followed by another thunder, brightens in an impossible way and she can’t see that figure anymore. And she saw nothing anymore, for the rest of her life.

Capítulo I - Parte 2

Chapter I – Part 2

Our own eyes can blind ourselves sometimes. No doubt that this is the sense we trust the most. For those who always had the vision, to live without it seems to be impossible. We trust so much in our vision that even if it lies to ourselves we believe in it blindly. A cruel paradox for us, single humans, that haven’t power over nothing. We got to lose the thing we most trust so it can bring us a new horizon, and make us to see beyond. And there lies the paradox: to see better we got to learn not using our vision. But this is not always possible. The eyes are great liars…

Seguidores - Capítulo I - Parte 1 ***Followers - Chapter I - Part I***

Capítulo I - Parte 1

A Sra.

Meu senhor! Glória!

A Sra.

A fumaça toma forma lentamente.

Chapter I – Part 1

They are everywhere. Maleficent ones wearing the skin of a good Samaritan. Mislead the reality and show themselves as nice peoples, full of shame and with a great will of making the good. Malefactors! They are not satisfied only in watching the bad happening to others. They got to despise them and think that are doing the right thing. The worst is that they are sure they’re right. Cowards! If they had courage to assume what they are. But no! They lie all the time. Even to themselves. Filthies!
Some followers pass all their lives without to know what they are. This fact doesn’t redeem them from the evil they cause for so many. Mrs S., who I prefer to call this way, once the name is irrelevant, used to be a follower. Screams echoed until the houses of the neighbors. Her crazy screams could be heard every day, at any time. Her laughs of happiness were a sound of sarcasm, much more than happiness itself.
Oh Lord! Glory!
Mrs. S. loved to pass the ending of the afternoon in front of her residence, observing what the people were doing, what they were talking about and even to imagine the secrets of every people that passed through there. Some maybe were thieves, others infidel women’s. Her tongue was sharp, and only the closest ones could know her real opinion. Her two sons, perfect spawns trained to be followers just like their mother. A man lived with her, but he was not her husband. She was a widow that was not interested in losing the pension left by her dead husband. So, she decided that God, the all powerful a so kindhearted God would forgive her for a so small lie like that. Anyway, there is nothing wrong in lying and faking to take some money, right? Filthy!
The neighbors used to think that she was perfect! Harmless to everyone and even used to wish good things to everyone. At least it was what everyone used to hear from her.
In that afternoon, Mrs. S. was not able to make her “journey work” of “to harvest” info about the life of somebody else. The rain that began to fall in the end of that day made it impossible to be done. The song of the music’s that she was singing in shouts echoed through the house of the neighbors. The rain didn’t stop even for a minute during all that night.
Glory! Glory! Alleluia!
The song of these shouts mixed with the song of the rain, in a shrill sound. The rain was so strong that some peoples in the district began to be worried. Thunder-claps began to be heard as if the whole sky were falling. Lightning’s as bright as the sun could be seen. Everyone in the house of Mrs. S. was already sleeping and she was doing some domestic works in the back of the house. She could see the sky from there, and it was cloudy. It was already at down and no one was in the streets at that time.
A lightning falls, derived from dark clouds. But it does not follow to the lightning rod that exists in the district. The unusual lightning falls right in the center of the 13th street. Black wings grow from the smoke cloud created by the falling of the lightning. The smoke takes shape slowly. The wings retreats until disappear inside that smoke cloud that takes the shape of a man. A long black hair falls above his shoulders and he keeps his face down. Anyone who looked to him would never be able to see his face. It was visible only his long black hair fallen above his face and shoulders. That figure begins to walk by the street, but before it, he opens his hands as if trying to feel the rain touching his skin. He looks around and then fixes his eyes ahead. The 13th street is his way. He walks slowly to the north of the street. That figure wears dark clothes and has a very pallid skin. His walking rhythm is disturbing. He doesn’t change the speed neither the way he walks. Walks slowly, with firm footsteps and it looks quite smart. It looks like a march very well trained to be made in a perfect way.
